Charrington's Pale Ale
Charrington. Not quite as much body as the Bass Ale but it is our clone. Our version is a copper colored, evenly hopped pale ale. Not bitter at all. We use about 100 grams of the soft Fuggle/Willamette hop up front and finish with a smaller dose of Goldings about 30-40 grams. . A very small dose of Crystal malt and Chocolate cracked grain go in this brew. This helps with head retention, and gives the brew a softer taste around the edges. Nice intro into pale ales.
